As we all know Covid-19 has put a real damper on large events. This is especially devastating for those of us celebrating momentous occasions (for example those of us getting married!). Not only weddings have been canceled though - baby showers, graduations, our kid’s birthday celebrations, and work parties have all been extremely reduced in size or moved online completely.

It can be really disheartening to look into the future and not know exactly when we will be able to have larger events again, but something unexpected and beautiful that has come from this is finding ways to make smaller gatherings more intimate and special. Now that gatherings must be smaller, and are far less frequent, an opportunity has arrived for our events to become so much more intentional. Our guest lists have been narrowed, but that allows us to take the time to recognize the relationships we most cherish and those we wish to grow..

We are all looking forward to the day when the case numbers start disappearing and hopefully we are all doing our part to help that happen, but in the meantime life must keep going on. So, as we move into 2021 more than ever we should start intentionally planning for the life events that are truly important to us. If you are asking yourself how you can host an event for a small number of people that still feels unique and special let us help take the pressure off by hosting you a private tea party / floral design workshop.

As an ECE professional by day I, Lindsey, am passionate about teaching young children. I have spent 5 years teaching at preschools and taking higher level education courses to help better equip myself to teach. As I have transitioned to pursuing my love for flowers I wanted to find a way that I could continue educating children. This is what I thought of!

This option is not just for children however, it is a great option for birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, and work events. Attendees will be able to create their very own floral piece and develop their understanding of design principles. For young children who love princesses/fairies this is an opportunity to play dress up in their best tea party attire and learn a new creative skill. For a party of adults, wine may be substituted in place of tea.

What will happen?

All guests will be seated around a common space (a table is ideal) with instrumental music playing in the background. I will guide the guests through a fun mini class about arrangement design tips, sustainability, and interesting facts about the flowers being used. This portion will take 15-20 minutes on average. For the remainder of the hour I will help individuals with any arrangement questions, to serve tea, and to help entertain.

What I will provide?

  • Everything needed to create personal floral arrangements for up to 6 guests (for larger events please send me an email). I will provide locally sourced flowers, the vessels, arrangement mechanics, and age appropriate cutting tools.

  • All the china needed to enjoy our elegant tea including vintage tea cups, tea pots, and locally sourced tea. If wine is to be substituted all wine glasses and wine will be included (you may also bring your own).

  • A speaker prepped to transform our space with dreamy instrumental music (or whatever music the guest of honor would prefer).

What I need from you:

  • A work space large enough to host all attendees.

  • A list of relevant allergens for all attendees.

Pricing:

4 Person Party | $220         5 Person Party | $275

6 Person Party | $330         7 Person Party | $385
